About Joe Dawson

Joe Dawson Jr., ARDMS (OB-GYN), RVT, is an ultrasound educator and author. Registered vascular technologist, dedicated to helping others grow both professionally and personally.

A devoted husband and proud father, Joe’s journey from a turbulent childhood to a life of purpose is a testament to resilience, faith, and transformation. Overcoming early challenges, he built a career in healthcare—first as a phlebotomist and later as an ultrasound technologist, where he has served patients and students for over two decades.

Through his work in sonography education, Joe has helped aspiring ultrasound professionals simplify complex concepts and gain confidence as they prepare for ARDMS registries. His teaching focuses on making learning approachable, practical, and rooted in real-world experience.

Joe is the author of The Day Everything Changed, a memoir that explores childhood adversity, healing, and the journey toward becoming the person he once needed. His writing reflects his belief that growth and healing are possible, no matter where life begins.
